This is a megalist of resources exploring how the internet has slowly been taken over by corporations and the government, and how the internet has slowly lost its identity as a place of free expression and privacy.
If you have any resources you want to see added here, just email me with them and I will be sure to add them if I think they're informative enough.
This page is not meant to spread the idea that corporations or governments themselves are bad; nor are we suggesting that total anonymity on the internet is necessarily a good thing. This page is intended to advocate for an internet that is simply not totally and utterly controlled by corporations and governments that want to dictate/spy on everything we see and do. People online should have the rights to freedom of expression and association to a reasonable extent without being forcibly suppressed by elites simply because they don't like what we sometimes do. The extent of the monopolization of the internet today is a threat to our democracy, and we are asking for it to stop.
With all that being said, I hope you find at least some of the information here to be eye-opening or at least interesting. You deserve every right to your privacy and free speech, and nobody - let alone the elites - should be able to take those things away from you.
